Beverly Hills Cosmetic Surgery
Do images of reality television surgeons pop up when you think of Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery? Do images of private planes, chauffeured limousines, and world class models and heiresses being whisked through the private entrances of the world’s best cosmetic surgeons sound appealing, or does this sound like a turn off instead?
The images portrayed by television are just that, images suitable for good reality television (and ratings). The reality of Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery is that while there may be many jet set patients flying in, many more patients are just like you or your neighbor who intelligently decided they want the best, and are willing to come to this Mecca of cosmetic surgery enhancements in search of some of the world’s best renown surgeons, latest procedures and cutting edge (no pun intended) surgical as well as non surgical techniques.
Many of the world’s best surgeon actually disdain the limelight of television, let alone intense marketing efforts of other surgeons, some whom who heavily rely on outspending and out-shouting more established surgeons in an effort to convince the general public of their surgical skills. Some patients who contacted My Cosmetic Surgery Advisor were surprised to learn some of these Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery television shows featured cosmetic surgeons with court records that revealed three pages of litigation, were not board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (the only board recognized with plastic surgery in its name by the umbrella medical organization, the American Board of Medical Specialties), or in certain cases, were not even a licensed medical doctor (M.D.).
So what should one do when in search of the “world’s best” cosmetic surgeon? First off, do not fall for the marketing hype and over promotion. After all, Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world, so as can be expected, sometimes the actual facts and realities do not meet the preceding buzz nor empty promises. Sometimes the best surgeons have mastered both critical skill sets of surgical precision and artistry, yet failed to develop an effective marketing persona. Conversely, a good marketing persona often makes for good television, irrespective of whether the “cosmetic surgeon” is considered by others good at either the artistry or the base surgical skills. My Cosmetic Surgery Advisor is here to help you by providing you guidance so you can better determine for yourself what’s important and what’s not. For legal liability purposes, we can not advise you who is a better or worse Beverly Hills surgeon. However, we can readily provide you the means to compare the medical education/training background, civil, criminal, and court records of virtually any perspective surgeon in you are considering. After all it is your body, it is your decision. So why not be the most informed you can for this most important life changing event?
