Browlift

A browlift (or forehead lift) is performed on patients who experience sagging eyebrows or forehead lines, and wish for a more youthful appearance. The best candidates are 40-60 years old, and are less than satisfied about always looking tired, upset, or angry. Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is sometimes performed in conjunction with this procedure for more dramatic results. Your surgeon may use an endoscopic brow lift procedure which leaves less visible signs of surgery, or they may opt for the more traditional method of making an incision along the hairline. Patients who have receding hairlines, no hair, or who have had previous eyelid surgery may still be good candidates, but your surgeon may need to make the incision in a different area or perform a more conservative procedure.

After brow lift surgery, you will need to take it easy for the first week or so, though you should be feeling better after a day or two. Most people are back to work after about ten days or so. Any sort of strenuous activity should not resume for several weeks or until you doctor gives you further instructions. Your scarring should begin to fade in about three weeks as bruising and swelling should continue to go down after that. As your appearance improves, so should your mood and energy as you begin enjoying your more youthful appearance.  For more information, please contact an Advisor at MCSA.
