Los Angeles Facelift
Finding the right surgeon for your Los Angeles facelift is a most critical decision. After all, you can’t simply wear a floppy hat, let alone a loose sweater or baggy pants to cover your face should something go wrong. You only have one face, and it is going to be visible to everyone for the most part everyday.
A face lift can mean different things to many different people. Do you want just your forehead lines removed, which is just a brow lift, or perhaps you want a combination of procedures? A full face lift may involve multiple procedures, including, but not limited to a brow (forehead) lift, upper eye lid lift (especially ideal for droopy, tired eyes), lower eye lid lift (for “baggy” eyes), mid face lift (temples and cheeks are pulled back, typically just behind the hairline), lower face lift and/or a neck lift. Sometimes silicone or Teflon facial implants are added to restore the fullness of youth, typically in the cheek or chin areas. After all, the typically person seeking a face lift not only is experiencing looser, saggy skin and facial muscles, but also the actual shrinkage of craniofacial bone density.
Many “quick”, “weekend”, “contour”, and “thread” lifts tighten just the exterior skin, but leaves the underlying muscle untouched. Imagine a dining table with many bumps; by pulling just the exterior table cloth taut, imagine what these quick fix “face lifts” will look like as a table cloth is pulled tightly over a bumpy surface. Now imagine that table cloth’s elasticity loosening up after only a few years, and that seemingly “great deal” starts to unravel; instead of lasting surgical results, some of these short cut face lifts lose their benefits after only a couple years, let alone not address the underlying saggy muscles or smaller craniofacial bone structure.
My Cosmetic Surgery Advisor specifically evaluates surgeons who practice face lifts for their mastery of this delicate art form. Whereas the typical “cosmetic surgeon” may have learned a one or two techniques to perform face lifts, surgeons recommended by My Cosmetic Surgery Advisor will have often learned five, six or even more different face lift techniques to provide the most up to date options that best suits your specific needs. Keep in mind that most surgeons we recommend to perform face lifts are also faculty members at prestigious plastic surgery teaching universities such as UCLA and University of Texas at Southwestern as well as regularly perform reconstructive plastic surgeries. Having rebuilt the faces of victims of war, domestic violence, birth defects, and accidents from the inside out, refreshing and reducing the ravages of time of a typical face lift candidate’s appearance is generally much more straightforward.
