Deciding to have cosmetic surgery is a big decision and significant expense. Really, in a world without too many truly important decisions, the cosmetic surgery decision is truly important—Forever life changing. You, of course, need to do everything possible to make this life change a good thing, not a devastating permanent setback.
However, with the skyrocketing popularity of cosmetic surgery, plus new non-surgical aesthetic treatments such as Botox and Restylane, staying up-to-date on cosmetic procedures and surgery techniques is increasingly difficult, especially for the average non-medical person (it’s even hard for medical professionals). Even more difficult (and much more important) is choosing the right surgeon for your procedure. Unfortunately, with this increased popularity of plastic surgery, there are some medical doctors and others who may market themselves and perform plastic surgery procedures even though they lack specialty training or experience.
My Cosmetic Surgery Advisor educates, directs you to sources that answer your cosmetic surgery questions, and reviews for the highest quality plastic surgeons. If you are just starting to consider cosmetic surgery, we conveniently, discreetly, and quickly help you learn about your options. Our computer animated plastic surgery procedures will help you understand dozens of plastic surgery options. And our dedicated Advisors will listen to your concerns and carefully explain the risks, financing options, and what you can expect. Let us help you with your personal cosmetic surgery choices in Dallas, Fort Worth and Los Angeles.
When you are ready for plastic surgery, we share with you information about conveniently located, highest quality surgeons that specialize in your chosen cosmetic procedures and meets BI’s stringent criteria.
All of the surgeons that meet our stringent requirements have:
- Graduated from an accredited medical school.
- Completed prerequisite training (typically three to five years) in an approved surgical residency program.
- Completed two to three years of training in an approved plastic surgery training program.
- Recommended by their training program chair for American Board of Plastic Surgery (“ABPS”) eligibility.
- Passed a comprehensive written examination.
- Provided a comprehensive list of all operations performed during their second year of practice, which is closely reviewed by the ABPS.
- Passed a three-day oral examination.
- Met moral and ethical standards set forth by the ABPS.
Beyond education, each of the surgeons that meet our stringent criteria is recognized for their specialty training, contributions to cosmetic surgery, or community work. For example, several MCSA surgeons are devoted to working with children born with cleft palates and other deformities, along with burn victims of all ages, one day a week. Others have chosen to further sub-specialize, including
- Cranial-Facial specialists who thoroughly understand not only the inner workings of the face, nose, neck and ears, but also the artistry and fine balance of aesthetic facial cosmetic surgery.
- Body contouring specialists who developed minimal scarring techniques for body contouring and liposuction procedures as well as faster recovery times.
- Breast augmentation specialists selected to be among a handful of plastic surgeons nationwide authorized to study and use silicone cohesive (“Gummy Bear”) gel implants.
We are also committed to providing objective information and guidance on reviewing surgeon certification and backgrounds for other surgeons you may be considering, even if they are not among those surgeons who have undergone our stringent evaluation process. It's your body, it's your decision.
You owe it to yourself to know the facts. Talk to an Advisor. |
